The Essence of Creole Cooking in Bitters Form ✨
Gumbo Bitters are as unique as New Orleans itself. Aromatic, savory, and full of depth, they offer rich flavor with a little less heat than their Crawfish Boil Bitters cousins. Notes of creole tomato, filé, onion, bell pepper, celery, and thyme come together to create a well balanced blend that captures the heart of Louisiana cooking in liquid form.
How to Mix:
Add these bitters to savory drinks and watch the magic happen. They shine in Bloody Marys, martinis with a savory twist, and any recipe that calls for warmth and complexity. They also move beautifully into the culinary world. Add a tablespoon to dips, tomato soup, marinades, or use as a finishing touch for raw seafood. Gumbo Bitters bring comfort, depth, and unmistakable South Louisiana character to every sip and every bite.
Why You Will Love It:
• Classic Louisiana aromatics in liquid form
• Rich savory flavor with gentle spice
• Alcohol free and spirit optional
• Woman owned and made in New Orleans
• Perfect for both drinks and cooking
From home kitchens to festive brunch spreads, Gumbo Bitters add a uniquely Southern touch to any bar cart or pantry. Scroll through the images to view ingredients and nutrition info. Bring home a bottle and tap into the flavor that defines Louisiana.
Are Gumbo Bitters spicy?
They have gentle warmth, not heat. Compared to Crawfish Boil Bitters, they are milder and more focused on aromatics and savory balance.
Can I use Gumbo Bitters in non alcoholic drinks?
Yes. They add dimension to savory spirit free drinks, tomato based refreshments, and culinary style cocktails. A few drops go a long way.
Why are these bitters so good for cooking?
The blend mirrors the flavor base of traditional Louisiana dishes. The aromatics and spices lift soups, stews, seafood, sauces, and dips without adding liquid or salt. They are a secret weapon for quick flavor.
