Endless Summer® (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Balimer') changed what gardeners could expect from a bigleaf hydrangea. Instead of one early flush that a late frost could erase, it sets full, rounded mophead blooms continuously across the season. The flowers open in clear blue or rich pink depending on your soil, riding above glossy deep-green leaves on a tidy, rounded shrub that matures to about 4 feet tall and wide. It is the kind of plant that anchors a shady border, softens a foundation, and fills a vase all summer long.
Why growers choose the Endless Summer® Hydrangea
- Reblooms all season. It flowers on old AND new wood, so it keeps producing fresh mopheads from spring through fall rather than blooming just once.
- You choose the color. Acidic soil turns the blooms blue, while neutral to alkaline soil brings them pink — a living color you can adjust to suit your garden.
- Frost insurance. Because it can bloom on new growth, a hard winter or a late spring freeze that damages old stems will not cost you the whole show.
- Cold-hardy and dependable. Rated for zones 4–9, it handles winters that older bigleaf hydrangeas could not survive.
- Right-sized habit. A naturally compact 4-by-4-foot mound fits foundations, borders, and large containers without constant cutting back.
Use it as a foundation planting on the north or east side of the house, group several into a soft informal hedge, weave it through a shaded mixed border, or grow a single plant in a roomy container near a patio where you can enjoy the blooms up close and cut a few for the house.

STOCK PRODUCTS - Stock products at UncommonWares are carefully curated and often in limited quantities. If you're lucky enough to grab some UW goods before they sell out, we feel certain you will enjoy your purchases. If for whatever reason stock items purchased need to be returned, please be sure it's in new, unused condition, in its original packaging and returned to the store within 15 days of purchase. Online Orders: Shipping charges are non-refundable and any return shipping cost incurred will not be reimbursed unless the product arrived damaged or incorrect product was sent. NOTE: Only stock, non-custom/non-personalized products can be returned.
CUSTOM PRODUCTS - UncommonWares custom products are created as ordered, therefore, all personalized/custom product sales are final. It is rare, but if your item arrives damaged or is defective, it must be reported within 10 business days for replacement. Simply email 4service@uncommonwares.com with a photo of the damage and any details about your order so we can efficiently process your replacement.
Please note that as a result of different textures and finishes colors will vary on products whether digitally imprinted or dyed. Products from separate dye lots may result in color shift. We always recommend coordinating instead of matching. In addition, what is shown on your screen may vary from your finished product. Slight color shifts are not considered defective and therefore cannot be returned nor replaced.
