Christine Marecki, Artist Statement
Texture is where I live and acrylic delivers. I will often work and rework many layers to achieve visual and dimensional texture, adding depth to my art. I primarily work on large canvas but I am venturing into new territory: painting small works. The smalls allow me to piece them together to create a journey or work them into an existing story. I am fascinated by the endless possibilities. I seek inspiration in everything I see. Although the subject may change, the technique and style remain textured and truly inspired, layer upon layer.
